Beth works as a Research Assistant on several projects within the meditation research group. Her current work is on projects relating to mindfulness and eating behaviour with both clinical and non-clinical populations and electrophysiological correlates of mindfulness and cognitive control. Her research interests lie in the realm of cognitive neuroscience, specifically cognitive control and regulation.
Joan Paul Pozuelos

Joan Paul works with us as collaborating PhD student from the University of Granada, Spain. In his work there he focuses on studying the effects of attentional training on the executive functions and self regulation processes in children. With us he is extending this work to include the effects of meditation training on these function and on understanding the underlying processes that produce these effects.
His research visits are supported by a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Joel Martin
BSc. (hons.)
Joel worked as voluntary researcher within our group and is involved in the project "Meditation, mindfulness and attentional functions". He graduated in Summer 2009 from our programme Psychology and Biology at Liverpool John Moores University, after studying Psychology, Biology and Literature at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough.
Joel's main academic interests lie in cognitive neuroscience, primatology and the psychology of music.
